ARTC is Singapore's Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre, a public-private partnership. It is led by the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR), in partnership with the Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU). The consortium has over 95 members, ranging from multinational corporations, public agencies and SMEs to startups. ARTC’s expertise accelerates the transfer of innovation from applied research to industrial applications and solutions.
Now that the launch for the AI Centre of Excellence was imminent, the AI Experience Nexus was in need of a revamp and B·U·T was called in to design a whole new user experience.
Visitors arriving at the centre activate sensors that trigger a voice welcome, and a gobo light and programmed lightbox set the stage while guiding visitors towards the interactive areas.
Two key interactive experiences were created. The first includes a hand palm scanner on a transparent screen, alongside a 3D mascot of the space that activates a video introduction, providing context for visitors.
The second experience is based on an interactive touchscreen and self-guided terminal that allows users to explore the initiative and its various AI-driven solutions. These elements lead into the shopfloor demos, enhancing user engagement with the AI-driven manufacturing technologies presented in the space.
