Communicating and implementing a way of working across a multinational company like IKEA can be daunting. Conveying important messages through videos ensures that the presentation is uniform, regardless of the presenter or the location of the audience. IKEA therefore asked us to produce an instructional video to educate their managers on key concepts of its business model.
Rather than going for a traditional concept in which a presenter explains something, we devised a talk show format. In the film a professor-like expert, played by an actor, explains the IKEA approach to an audience of students. Shot in a real studio with multiple actors, the movie invokes the look and feel of business television and has embedded animations to retain the target audience’s attention.
