Reliving the Battle Box experience

Immersive projection brings the past into the present

Battlebox

The Battle Box is the popular name of the Fort Canning Bunker that housed the bomb-proof Malaya Command Operations HQ during the Battle of Singapore. Today, it's a well-known museum and tourist attraction.

The Day Before & The Moments Before are projection mapping experiences that paint a vivid picture of Singapore’s situation in the days leading up to the surrender of Singapore in 1942.

In The Day Before, a gripping animation depicts the events leading up to the surrender; it's an immersive and stunning 270-degree projection.

In The Moments Before, we used the anaglyphic technique to present to the audience the perspectives of both the Japanese and allied forcesall, by switching between two differently colored lenses.

We conceptualised, scripted and curated the content in close collaboration with a historical consultant, to ensure that the facts and representation were accurate.
